Even back in the day before OSRS I remember hearing people speaking about RuneScape in public at school etc.. I didn't hear folks talk about World of Warcraft or matches around as much. I wonder OSRS will stay popular. I feel like the RuneScape gold majority of the wow players back from the day were an older creation. I remembered a few of my friends dads raiding throughout vanilla and tbc. It was like the sub cost of RuneScape so likely did not have as much of a audience when compared with rs.

I recall people once I was in middle school at the early 2000s playing it then it just faded away. Then I saw Reddit going mad over it a couple years back. But what really made me realize that it was popular was when I was hiking through the abandoned turnpike tunnel in central Pennsylvania and saw graffiti on the wall that said,"PLAY OLD SCHOOL RuneScape" and had the dude's username.

That is actually interesting. People do not half-ass RuneScape. If a person plays RuneScape, they are generally obsessed with RuneScape relative to how much other folks play many other videogames, on account of the grind/time investment required to keep advancing (years of drama if someone wants to make it to the end game). RuneScape becomes part of someone's identity, however the old stigma of mmorpg's being"nerdy" or"regressive" is diminished and now osrs isn't just a part of somebody's backstage confront; it is a genuine, popular pastime.

I operate in the ambulance inter-facility transporting and doing 911. We've got tablets (laptops that turn to tablets) in our ambulances and should the location the patient is going is a couple of hours away I'll play OSRS about the pill (if the individual is non-critical and asleep). A countless number of occasions I have had patients wake up and ask me when I had been playing RS and some have played it before, or play it, and we'll have RS talks all of the way to the receiving centre. We also have a conference room at the channel and four other guys and myself bring our PCs in and play OSRS around the table between being toned out.

As a 25 yo grownup even at work at the bituminous road construction industry I hear some of our labourers speaking about Recipe for Disaster and while awaiting the trucks they're playing it in their phones.

1 thing I have always loved about games is how easy it's to discuss. You meet somebody who plays the exact same game as possible, you're instant best friends and will discuss it until the cows come home. The crew do not like us engineers but that I get along with these boys now, and now we're cracking RuneScape jokes over the buy OSRS gold UHF from time to time. I don't know what RuneScape is I am just here because these memes make no sense must be some form of intelligence.
