Zidan Benevolence International — in partnership with GGHTx — a global health-oriented nonprofit organization and NGO, are teaming up to help eliminate stigma and vamp up the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS throughout central Uganda.
By providing volunteer efforts in the professional implementation of the project’s HIV/AIDS awareness model, GGHTx will help facilitate an increase in leadership within local communities and schools in response to the recent rebound in HIV, especially amongst pediatrics.
A charitable organization is an organization that is focused on working for the common good of a community or group. One of the hallmarks of a charitable organization is NPO (non-profit organization) status. There are hundreds of types of such organizations around the world that range widely in terms of focus and reach. For example, a charitable organization might focus entirely on improving the writing and communication skills of youth in just one city. On the other hand, a charitable organization might work to prevent the spread of HIV in dozens of countries around the world.
Vision: To eliminate stigma and vamp up the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS through disease awareness, disease prevention, professional community and adolescent education, while improving healthcare access and treatment services for underserved and vulnerable populations throughout central Uganda.
Preparation: Delegation will undergo pre-travel orientation with GGHTx staff led by Avi Kerendian and arrival training at partnership’s center and in collaboration with local professionals at Zidan Benevolence International led by Kiyini Jimedine.

The rules that govern some of the operations of a charitable organization vary from country to country. These rules may also vary depending on the type of work that a charitable organization does. There are different laws that govern these kinds of organizations and there are also different manners in which taxes related to these kinds of organizations are assessed and treated. Many of these rules are set up so that charitable organizations are able to function as productively as possible and serve the common good to the fullest extent of their abilities. At the same time, these rules are also in place to make sure that the exceptions and exemptions provided to charitable organizations are not abused by dishonest organizations that are interested in profiting from these benefits without following through on a mission to work for the greater good.
Zidan Benevolence International is an indigenous, non-profit making; a charitable organization established in 2010, allowed to operate legally within Buikwe District in 2018 as a Community Based Organization (CBO) and later incorporated at the National level with Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) in 2019. We are an operational CBO. We serve all the people irrespective of age, gender, and religion, by giving equal chance and opportunity to all the target groups. We offer support to all people in terms of economic strengthening, food and nutrition security, Health, Water Sanitation and shelter, education, psychosocial support/basic care, child protection and legal support in rural communities, schools, religious institutions, and offer our free life saving and life-transforming services to all.
