The Nike Air Max 1 Dark Smoke Grey Glacier Ice shoe’s woven tongue tag displays a Nike logo that mimics spray paint. Below it is a set of black laces, “Chutney”-toned collars and “Dark Smoke Grey” sidewalls that comes in a shiny metallic tone. A cool “Glacier Ice” Swoosh appears over the sides, while graffiti-style “Nike” branding at the heel, a white mesh toebox, a suede toecap and a clean Air sole-equipped midsole finish off the shoe’s vibrant design.
Mens Jordan 2020 have returned for another round of customizable footwear this season. Offering new design options for the Air Force 1 and Air Max 97, the American labels have introduced four different types of wool to their rich catalog.Each model will come with six pre-designed colorways that are directly customizable. For example, one iteration of the Air Max 97 sports olive leather and wool uppers, complemented by a light beige gum outsole. On the other hand, bolder colorways, like the Air Force 1 with traditional multi-colored patterns boast uppers that are entirely wool and much more textured. Textiles like premium solid-toned wool twill and Scout Stripe patterns are also included in the range of custom fabrics. As a final, note, the shoes will come with an embossed leather hangtag, depicting a scenic view with a Swoosh hanging above mountains.
2020’s London Marathon was open to elite runners only due to the effects of the COVID-19 coronavirus and featured many surprises — New Drop Jordans most notably a disappointing eighth place finish from world record holder Eliud Kipchoge, who blamed a blocked right ear for negatively affecting his performance. Race results aside, Nike used the marathon as a launching point for three new colorways of the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%, the shoe Kipchoge set the current marathon world record in during October 2019. Arriving in commemorative “Kenya” and “1:59:40” makeups plus a bold “Mango,” the high-speed three pack marks the next wave of styles for Nike Running‘s fastest piece of footwear and is accompanied by a “Fast Family” pack of other silhouettes.Storytelling is front and center on both the “Kenya” and “1:59:40.” The former features bold red and green embellishments on the heel, nodding to the flag of Kipchoge’s home country. The latter uses bright pink on the heel to recreate the style Kipchoge wore while becoming the first man to break the two-hour marathon barrier, a feat once thought impossible. Both pairs feature further high-speed detailing on heel tabs and insoles alike, with “EK” hits and graphics nodding to Kipchoge’s fastest time.
